Introducing Snippe Affiliate
About two months ago, on January 25, 2026, we launched Snippe.
What started as a small internal project we were using for ourselves has grown faster than we expected. In a short time, Snippe has already processed 40,000+ transactions, moved TZS 160M+ in volume, and supported 400+ active merchants.
That early momentum has taught us something important: people are not just looking for a way to collect money online. They are looking for a way to sell in the way they already live and do business.
One of the features growing fastest on Snippe is our simple payment pages. They let anyone create a page for a product or service and start getting paid immediately. No website. No complicated setup. Just a link that works.
Some of our earliest and strongest adopters have been content creators. This is a segment that is still widely underserved, even though it is becoming a real and growing part of the economy. Creators are already selling digital products, classes, experiences, and access through the audiences they have built. What they usually lack is a simple, reliable way to monetize that demand without friction.
On Snippe today, creators are already selling e-books, courses, video sessions, live classes, event tickets, and other digital offers through simple payment links. We have seen encouraging growth from this segment, and alongside that growth we kept hearing one thing again and again:
They wanted a way for other people to promote their products and get paid automatically.
So we listened.
Today, we are rolling out the beta version of Snippe Affiliate.
For now, it is invite-only.
Here is how it works in its current form:
A merchant goes to the Marketing section in their Snippe dashboard and creates an affiliate campaign. They choose the payment page they want promoted, invite influencers or affiliates to join, and once the campaign is live, each affiliate gets their own unique tracking link immediately.
From there, they can start promoting.
When sales come through that link, Snippe automatically tracks the conversion, deducts the affiliate commission from the merchant, and makes that earning available to the affiliate for direct cashout.
That may sound like a small feature on the surface, but we think it unlocks something much bigger.
It gives creators, influencers, and audience owners a way to earn even when they do not have their own product yet. If they have attention, trust, and distribution, they can now turn that into income by helping the right products reach the right people.
For merchants, it creates a much more natural growth loop. Instead of only relying on ads or direct outreach, they can activate people who already know how to sell to their communities.
This is still just the beginning.
Our goal with Snippe is not only to make payments easier. It is to build a commerce tool that fits the reality of how informal and digital businesses in Africa actually move. A tool that helps people sell, get paid, grow distribution, and build trust across the channels they already use every day.
Snippe Affiliate is one step in that direction.
And we are only getting started.
We have more coming soon across the payments layer, the marketing layer, and the customer experience layer of Snippe all with the same goal: making it easier for more people to do real business online.
